Liv had just finished her internship as an Industrial Psychology grad, and Doug was in the market for some decent copywriters to hire at his UK content marketing agency, Kalium.
Doug struggled to find good writers in the UK, but Liv had a few South African connections to get some talent on the roster.
Liv unknowingly had tapped into a demand that would change the face of employment for the global market.
With Doug’s background in finance and content marketing, and some capital to get things off the ground – he convinced Liv that starting a new business was a brilliant idea.
In 2023, after reaching out to every contact in Doug’s Rolodex, it was clear that they needed someone to take a deep dive into prospecting.
Enter Skye with a background in hospitality and “smiling til it hurts”, she was perfect for the job.
After about eight months of building out infrastructure and solidifying the Marketing Pros brand, her role grew into something entirely different; from scouring the internet for leads to managing the entire brand and community.
After managing all recruitment and client comms solo, Liv quickly realised that they needed to scale the talent team even more.
To keep up with the growing demand for quality candidates, we brought on two fantastic Talent Acquisition consultants, Cait and Lexi.
